If a student is enrolled in ONLY online classes they will pay the resident in-state tuition rate, no matter where they reside.

All other students, enrolled in both online and face-to-face classes will pay the regular rate of tuition based on their state residency. Students taking courses on campus in the Spring or Fall, but taking only online in the summer will pay the tuition rate based on the on campus structure.

Fees and other information

College of Technology fee

College of Technology has an additional per credit hour fee of $22 for each credit hour (up to 10 credit hours) for courses taken in the college of technology with a cap of $220 per semester.

Distance Fee

$36 per credit hour.  The Distance Fee applies only to courses held at an extended distance from campus.  The fee compensates for additional distance costs associated with the delivery of instruction.

Summer Courses

Pittsburg State University offers summer courses, in a wide variety of disciplines. Courses are generally offered in four-week and eight-week sessions, although intersession and short courses are also available. Coursework begins early June, and ends late July.

Limited on-campus housing is available for students that wish to take summer courses.
